This school has one "Master" and it is no one pictured on this page.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the Master of Cornerstone Martial Arts Academy and it is the desire of the instructors featured on the page to teach you both the Martial Arts and how to better live for the true Master. Therefore our instructors (while second to none) do not go by titles like "master"(English), "sensei"(Japanese), "sifu"(Chinese) etc.
This is just one more way that we seek to honor the Lord in our Martial Arts.

  Founder and Head Instructor

Kevin Hunt
Founder and head instructor of Cornerstone Martial Arts. In establishing Cornerstone Kevin brought together his two great passions- the Martial Arts and the Lord Jesus. Kevin has earned Black Belts in both Jidokwan and classical Jiu-Jitsu. He is a certified Modern Army Combatives instructor (MAC in the
hand-to-hand combat system used by the US Army) and is a Purple belt in
Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu under Dave Camarillo and John Simons III. Kevin is the only authorized Team Odyssey Jiu-jitsu representative in the state of NC.
Kevin began his training as a Martial Artist in 1992 while serving as a Member of the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg NC. As a Paratrooper at Fort Bragg Kevin also earned his Airborne, Air-Assault and Expert Infantryman's Badge as well as being 2nd Brigades Soldier of the year for 1995.
Kevin has been a Sunday School teacher for over 13 years and is currently the Sunday School Director of his church. Kevin and his beautiful wife Anna havc been happily married for 15 years and live in Wake Forest with their 4 sons.

  George "Mac" Taylor
Mr. Mac is a doctor of veterinary medicine and was the first member of Cornerstone to earn their black belt. He is a home-grown Christian Mixed Martial Artist. He is also a blue belt in Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu under Dave Camarillo and John Simons III amd he teaches our adult MMA and Kids Jiu-Jitsu classes.
